Dr Wisotsky is an extremely capable orthopedic surgeon. He performed two full reverse shoulder replacements on me. His staff is excellent, both of his pas are quite knowledgeable. The office across from Morton Plant hospital is also extremely efficient. I typically never have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen.

I had rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Wisotsky on November 1, 2024. The surgery went fine. As with all rotator cuff surgery, the rehab is the hard part. I’m now four months out and playing golf again. This is one good doctor.

I really liked the use of the ultrasound to not only help guide the injection that I had but also to show me why and where I was having a problem. His Medical assistant did a thorough work up and took me to xray. The xray tech was great and I went back to the exam room. The Dr's PA came in and we discussed the findings of the xray. Dr Wisotsky is great, always super friendly. He explained things during his very thorough exam of my shoulder in a way that I could understand. He immediately ordered X-rays. I want to recognize Dan in the X-ray department. He was very kind and very quick taking the pics. Dr Wisotsky reviewed them and offered me several options for pain relief and range of motion improvement. Today Dr Wisotsky's PA Ashley gave me a shot into the joint of my shoulder. She was very gentle while using the ultrasound and quite a big needle. Quickly finding the exact spot and painlessly administering the shot. I did not feel a thing and it was over before I knew it! I have been coming to OAWF for a long time and everyone in this practice are always excellent, from the check in front reception to the girls at checkout. After examining my elow for which I was being treated, he patiently listened to my complaints about my insurance provider not being responsive to my PT request as to why they denied further therapy. My first appointment with Dr Wisotsky was very positive. The wait time was short, the nurse took my information, explained the doctor wanted X-rays so she took me to the X-ray area. They were quick to get the views of my hand and return me to the exam room. Dr Wisotsky's PA examined my hand and wanted to get an ultrasound. Throughout this process, she explained what she was looking for and why. She reviewed the info with the doctor, returned to inform me that he wanted to schedule surgery on my hand. The doctor came in to introduce himself and take a look, explained what he would do during surgery and was very friendly and professional. He was followed by a scheduler who provided optional dates. We set the time, signed the paperwork and I was ready to go. All took about 30 minutes and was handled efficiently and effectively. I was referred to Dr. Wisotsky for a Reverse Total Shoulder replacement surgery after an accident that left me with a Total tear of the rotator cuff. I was already suffering from a chronic partial tear for 10+ years but the accident was the straw that broke the Camel's back. My pain was so bad that while I was waiting for the surgery date, I was having uncontrollable shaking and cold sweats due to the pain even with nerve blockers and high dosages of narcotics. The surgery took only 4 hours and when it was over it felt like I just stepped out of a long nightmare. Words don't convey my gratitude and appreciation so I only asks the God bless Dr. Wisotsky and his team and I really feel like I'm alive again even after having my entire shoulder replaced that I'm able to sleep without pain for the first time in a decade. My rotator cuff had several deep tears that required major surgery. Dr Wisotsky and his team provided me with excellent treatment and I experienced very little post-op pain. The follow-up office visits usually took about 30 to 45 minute wait time. (Average for most doctors) He has his own PT group and they provided excellent physical therapy to complete my rehab. What was great about his own PT team is that the physical therapists have immediate direct contact with the surgeon if there is any problem. I highly recommend Dr. Wisotsky and his team. After tests were done he and his PA gave me a detailed overview and recomendations . I was suprised that he didn't recomend surgury but after his explination I fully understood why. First, I got to see Dr. Wisotsky. Second, he had a model that helped illustrate my problems and how he was going to fix it. Last visit, the PA didn’t introduce herself and we had to use pictures of the shoulder anatomy that I had downloaded from the Internet because there were none available in the exam room or office. The use of pictures and models should be standard protocol for reviewing MRI results and describing the repairs. Each patient should leave the office with a picture of the relevant joint anatomy and markups by the surgeon to show what’s wrong and how it is going to be fixed. Even though I had to wait an hr to be seen it was well worth it . Dr Wisotsjy gave me a warm welcome after being seen by his MA Angela who took my history and then ordered X-rays . he then asked for my current situation and concerns . Empathized with me told me his plan after examining me and ordering an ultrasound to help in the diagnosis and then told me his plan. As anyone looking at having surgery, I arrived at the practice feeling worried about the thought of having surgery (Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement). Dr. Wisotsky was referred to me by my PCP of 35 years. He has performed surgery on both of my shoulders. Labrum repairs on both shoulders back in 2018 with great results and most recently, 1June2022 he performed a total reverse shoulder replacement on my left shoulder. The shoulder replacement was required due to an accident and as he takes a conservative approach to his treatments he exhausted all of my options prior to proceeding with the replacement surgery. He is an outstanding physician as well as a wonderful person. He never rushed me through any of my appointments, always taking the time to care for both my physical needs and mental anxiety. I have had over a dozen orthopedic procedures and can say without a doubt that he is one of the finest surgeons and diagnosticians I have ever had or met. I would recommend him to anyone that has a need for a problem from their shoulder to their finger tips to choose him as the treating physician. Very good listener- listened to details of my injury, saw photos and took time to review the “negative” ( per radiologist at “MRI Associates of Palm Harbor”) MRI done at another facility. ( my insurance wouldn’t cover an MRI@ his office) I knew that there was NO WAY the MRI was normal since I heard and felt a rupture, and had thumb extension issues still, 10 months post injury. Happy to say Dr Wisotsky saw the issue on MRI, confirmed with physical exam and wasn’t aggressively recommending surgery. Just because you CAN fix doesn’t always mean that’s necessary. His expertise, thorough exam, history taking and experience are so appreciated! Dr Wisotsky has performed surgery on my injured shoulder and most recently on my wrist for Carple tunnel. The outcome for both have been absolutely excellent! The constant pain and numbness that I tried to endure for five months, that had deprived me of sleep, is now gone. No more ibuprofen, extra strength Tylenol etc, that I’ve taken so much of! i was impressed with how the office dealt with COVID restrictions and very impressed with Dr Wisotsky. He was informative and reassuring and confirmed to me to wait on possible hand surgery to see if my problem would eventually heal on its own. Dr. Wiskotsky is amazing! I am so glad I found him. I had a needle in my finger that broke and was stuck where I could not even see it. It was hitting the bone and was quite uncomfortable. Outstanding surgeon. Thought I? was Batman turns out, I? was just fatman. I did a great job of Ripping up my shoulder. He did an excellent job of putting it back together. He added an extra day of surgery for his patients and me so he could do the job. Very polite also. When I introduced him to my wife he walked across the room to introduce himself. I have nothing but praise for Dr Wisotsky. He was the third surgeon I visited and I could not have found a finer surgeon or individual to perform a total shoulder replacement. Follow up visits with his PA, Sean were spot on, all questions answered, kind and caring. Great team! Wait times for follow up visits may vary, but that has no bearing on my review of Dr Wisotsky. Dr. Wisotsky and his PA, Sean, are an amazing team. I have had 3 shoulder surgeries in the last 7 years by Dr. Wisotsky. All with great results. Dr. Wisotsky is an outstanding surgeon but also has a good sense of humor. Hard to find in a good surgeon. :) He also has the ability to describe a procedure in layman's language and is good at drawing pictures to help you understand the surgery.
